Over the Air (OTA) maintenance for Medical IoT

Medical IoT or Internet of medical things (IoMT) has evolved rapidly and wide-spread to healthcare ecosystem. Product iteration and remote maintenance are important to manage a huge bunch of devices and services. There are several technological features required for the complicated applications: over the air (OTA) maintenance, remote device manager, and system health monitoring.

With OTA maintenance, a series of services can be provided through network connection, for example, enterprise intranet or Internet. First of all, massive software deployment was time consuming task for IT professionals in healthcare institutes. Through OTA, software deployment can be easily done with one click for hundreds of devices. Also, software update can be automatically done periodically in the same fashion. Second, asset management can be executed on a remote terminal. Any unused devices would be reported to the manager. Third, remote technical support can help to reduce the effort on on-site problem shooting. Most setting, configuration, user input can be modified remotely.

Don’t walk for miles and only for pushing the reset button on a device. Utilizing OTA maintenance makes your job more efficient and valuable.
